Zak Tucker is the Co-Founder and President of Harbor Picture Company. A feature film and commercial editor and director by trade, Zak founded Harbor Picture Company in 2010 with renowned colorist, Joe Gawler and cinematographer, Theo Stanley. Together they’ve built a company comprised of Hollywood caliber talent and studio facilities serving the feature film, television and commercial industry in NY. Offering the largest post-production footprint and array of services in New York, highlights include the largest and most technologically advanced tent-pole theatrical mix stages, DI theaters and edit suites in New York.
Zak’s 17-year career has spanned the feature film, television and commercial landscape, with notable recent Harbor highlights including “Arrival,” for Paramount, “Billions” for Showtime, “Magic Mike XXL” for Warner Bros, “Beauty and the Beast,” for Disney and Ron Howard’s “Inferno” for Sony.
Since 2010, Zak has expanded Harbor’s offering to include top-tier artistry and robust services across the full array of production and post-production facets; dailies, offline editorial, VFX, picture post, sound post, and delivery. In the 7 years since founding the company, Zak has seized the opportunity of the media and entertainment transition from analog to digital to unseat the traditional, old-school players and bring about the new methodology for high production-value content creation. In so doing he has created a new culture and facilitation of artistic collaboration while taking the company from 500 square feet to 50,000 square feet, from 4 employees to 90, and multiplying revenues by 800%, establishing Harbor as the newest and most cutting edge studio for highest end artistry and enterprise-level delivery to the studios, networks, brands and agencies.
